The 6.0-liter V12 has been adapted to run on either hydrogen or gasoline. Power rating is a modest 260. It switches between the fuels seamlessly.
Starting with the long-wheelbase chassis of the 760Li, BMW pushed the rear seat forward and pulled the trunk's bulkhead back to make room for the hydrogen storage tank (see one of the images below and compare to it .)
Fuel flaps: The conventional gasoline filler is joined by a hydrogen fitting under a motorized door on the C-pillar.
