Biante Collectors Club Newsletter. 6 February.
Welcome Collectors.6th February 2003.
Delayed models.
Due to circumstances out of our control the XA GT and 3 * 1:43 Holden V8 Supercars were delayed and will be available next week. As with last week the XA will be available on Friday at 2pm Perth time and the 1:43 Holden V8 Supercars will be available on Wednesday at 2pm Perth time.
The Holden V8 Supercars are as follows:
Holden Young Lions #02. Rick Kelly. This is the most asked about 1:43 V8Supercar model that we have had. the exciting livery and even more exciting young driver all add up to make a very popular model.
Holden Racing Team #1. Bathurst winner. Skaife/Richards. None of the 1:43 Bathurst winners collectors will be disappointed with this model. All of the accurate details have been transferred to the smaller scale including the digital readout steering wheel.
Team Brock #05. Bathurst 2002. Brock/Baird. After being available in 1:64 and 1:18 scale for some time the 1:43 model is finally ready to be released. This model is 'as raced' with all of the accurate sponsor logs which were changed on the car between announcing the return of Brock to the mountain and the car hitting the track.
Next Weeks New Arrivals.
A new shipment of model from Minichamps will be arriving today and all items will be available on the website tomorrow. All items have been marked as 'In Transit' on the website now. There are some very nice models arriving including the 1:12 Bayliss 2002 Ducati, and 1:18 Fittipaldi McLaren M23 etc.
Also arriving next week is a shipment from Autoart with some new items. the 1:43 model of the new Dodge Viper SRT-10 will be available in three colours along with the 1:18 gold GT390 Mustang, red Porsche 911 Turbo and sliver GT2. The most eagerly anticipated model will be the 2001 Autoart Peugeot 206 WRC of Gronholm. These items will be listed on the site on Wednesday next week.
Kyosho will be delivering the 1:18 Lamborghini Countach LP500, Mercedes Benz CLK, and Lancia Delta EVOII. In 1:43 the sliver Jaguar E-type and Shelby Cobra 427SC and 2003 catalogues. These items will be available on Friday next week.
2003 Model range.
All of the 2003 Minichamps models have been placed on the website.Their range of classic F1cars has been expanded to include the 1:18 model of Ayrton Senna's F1 Toleman which has never been produced in 1:18 scale before, Senna's first win Lotus, several McLaren models from the 1970's. Thereare also many road and race cars inall scales. A new range of Ducatiworld Superbike models will be produced in 1:6 scale which will be superb. Unfortunately there are no pictures at this stage however they will be updated as soon as they become available. Sunstar and Autoart will be updated over the next few weeks.
