New Announcements

This week Biante have announced two great new models for our collectors. The first is the latest addition to the on going Peter Brock Collection.

B182704F - Holden VK Commodore - #05, Brock/Perkins - 1984 Castrol 500 winner - Limited to 3,000 pieces in total

In addition to the success the 'Big Banger' VK Commodore had at Bathurst Peter Brock was able to claim his 9th victory in the traditional Bathurst lead up event, the Castrol 500 at Sandown. The 1st and 3rd placings for the two HDT VK's was made even sweeter by the fact that Castrol 500 was the first event contested by the two brand new cars.

This model is currently scheduled for delivery in January next year.

As an option on the Formula Blue VK SS Group A purchasers were offered the choice of the Aero wheel in both standard finish and painted in Alpine White. Very few buyers chose the white wheel option, preferred by PB himself, now making the real cars with this option particularly valuable.

Biante are planning on producing the VK Group A with white wheels in very limited quantities for release later this year.

Please make sure these models are added to your watchlist to allow us to calculate the quantities to allocate for website orders.

Production Planning

The research and development department have been working flat out over recent months with both new and existing projects all making their way through the system.

New pictures of the latest prototype of the 1:18 scale #05 Brock/Parsons HDT VL Group A Commodore are now in the website showroom for you to view. Click here for a direct link to see the fantastic detail that has been engineered into this new model.

Acknowledging the importance of these models to our collectors, extra time has been allocated and effort made to ensure that both the #05 and #10 models are as accurate as possible before we begin production. As well as the usual livery differences we have also tooled specific engine and interior items for #05 and #10 to ensure accuracy and authenticity of both models. These two are not simply repainted versions of the same model.

B182703B - Holden VL Commodore SS Group A - #05, Brock/Parsons - DNF, 1987 James Hardie 1000

B182703C - Holden VL Commodore SS Group A - #10, Brock/Parsons/McLeod - Winner, 1987 James Hardie 1000

B642703D - Holden VL Commodore SS Group A - #05 and #10 Twin set - 1987 James Hardie 1000

Given the time it has been since these models were first announced and the desire to produce suitable quantities Biante have asked their retailers, and this website, to confirm the required orders for the three models listed above. Production numbers will be based on orders received.

If you order from a retailer please make sure you contact them to place your order or you could miss out as retailers will only order if they know you want one.

Website customers need to make sure the items are listed on your watchlist. To ensure accurate numbers the current watchlist has been cleared so you will need to go back and add it again.

Buy/Sell/Swap Section

Users of the website based Bus/Sell/Swap section will have noticed that it has been closed for the last week. Due to a very large amount of spammers posting on the site the decision has been made to move the BSS section and make it part of the discussion forum. This will make it easier to moderate, view, and also make it easier to deal with fellow forum members.

The forum rules are as follows:

1 - Non-commercial use only, any shops or comercial entities advertising in the forum will be removed

2 - The forum is offered by Biante for private use and transactions are to be worked out between the respective parties. Biante have no involvement or responsibility in individual transactions. It is the responsibility of the buyer and seller to ensure a satisfactory deal.

3 - Any reports of missuse will be dealt with and a ban given to the offending member.

4 - Spamming the forum is not permitted. Spam posts will be deleted without warning and the member posting spam will be banned.

In order to keep all of the talk about model values, Ebay auctions etc in it's own section the BSS has been setup as a subforum with all 'value' related discussion to be posted in there.

The BSS is an extremely popular tool so hopefully everyone will get in there and use it properly to help each other out.
