Biante Collectors Club Newsletter. 6th September.

Hello to all Biante club members.23rd August 2002

Next Weeks arrivals.

All of next weeks arrivals are now marked as 'In Transit' on the website. Two of the most popular models that will be arriving are the Lamborghini LP400 Countach in yellow and the Ferrari 365 Daytona in red from Kyosho. The Ferrari is the first release of Kyosho's new series of classic Ferrari models and is sure to be an absolutely stunning model.

Minichamps will be delivering many models including the long awaited 1:12 scale Ducati 996 street bike.

Please keep an eye on the 'Just arrived' section around the middle of the week to view all of the new arrivals.

New Australian models.

Due to arrive on Monday are the next releases from our 2002 V8 Supercar series in 1:18, 1:43, and 1:64 scales. 1:18 scale collectors will be happy to see the cars of Steven Johnson and Neal Crompton arrive. In 1:43 scale we will be receiving the two 00 motorsport cars of Lowndes and Crompton and in 1:64 scale there will be the cars of Crompton, Wilson, Longhurst, Johnson, Radisich, and Ritter.

Biante minicars advanced orders.

The Ford and Holden 'First Run' limited edition minicars are also arriving on Monday. All advanced orders for these items will be processed once the cars are instock.

Future Arrivals.

Kyosho have also announced that they will be producing some new colours for the previously mentioned Lamborghini Countach and Ferrari Daytona. The Countach will be produced in orange and the Ferrari in yellow.

Autoart have announced an expanded rangeunder their Autoart Design brand. All of the new listings are now on the site with pictures.

Second Special Commodore.

It is with some regret that we have to announce the second special Commodore racer has been shelved. This was, in the end, totally out of our control and unfortunately Iam not allowed to show what it was going to look like. Biante was going to pay for the repaint of car #1for the Queensland 500 into a totally new colour combination which looked sensational. However due to several obstacles not being able to be resolved in time, it will now not happen.

A real shame, as apart from looking teriffic, it may have been a chance for a colour other than Red winning a race so far this year!! And it would have been a "ripper" model.

New Collectable item.

Biante have commissioned a series of real number plates. This has just been approved and we will have it as aClub item on the website under item number BC0114. Have a look and see what you think. Unfortunately this is only available for West Australian registered cars and is limited to 99 units. All you have to do is select a number that is available, pay us and the Transport Department will notify you when the plates are ready. You then go in to the registry nearest you and bolt on your Biante numberplates. Picture will be on the site this afternoon.

Finishline Competition.

The selections are now open for the QLD 500 round of Finishline. After all our effort in assuring that we had the driver pairings 'straight from the horses mouth', we now see there has been a driver change amongst the lead teams which cannot be adjusted in the Finishline selections without cancelling all of the tips that have already been placed. If thereare anymore driver changesfor any entry, and that car finishes in the top 5 places then points will be allocated to the lead driver in that car. For Example: Tony Longhurst and Max Wilson are the nominated drivers for cars #66 and #65. If there is a change and they are both moved into car #66, as Longhurst is the nominateddriver, points will only be allocated to Longhurst, no points will be given to Wilson or car #65. If a driver pairing has been changed and the lead driver is not listed in the selections the next placed car will be promoted up a position.

Thanks and Happy Collecting.

The team from Biante.
