Biante Collectors Club Newsletter 17th June 2008

Here at Biante another week of releases is on its way and the following list of models contains some highly anticipated items from five manufacturers.

Biante

From Biante this week, there is the long awaited 1990 Bathurst Winner in 1:64 scale.
This model is a very accurate representation of one of, if not the, greatest Holden victory at the mountain. Against the turbocharged might of the the Ford Sierra's and the Nissan GTR Skylines, this Allan Grice and Win Percy piloted VL SS Group A stood the test of a thousand kilometres and crossed the line first for one of the most unlikely victories in Australian motor sport history.

Amalgam

From Amalgam we have in 1:43 scale the Team Australia car from the 2007/2008 A1GP season.
This model contains the same attention to detail and exquisite presentation that we have come to expect from Amalgam, but this time in the beautiful green and gold.
Unfortunately there is not many opportunities to have a model with an Australian theme so the release of this car is a fantastic occasion to make a patriotic addition to the collection.

Ixo

Ixo has once again some of their 1:12 scale Motogp bikes ready for release. These two being the Marco Melandri 2005 "Moviestar" Honda and the stunning Valentino Rossi 2005 Yamaha from the Laguna Seca round.
There is also the little Ferrari 125 S in 1:43 scale for the Ferrari collectors.

Kyosho

Next up is Kyosho with three notable 1:18 releases. The very stylish E63 M6 in the beautiful bronze metallic, the blue 335i with a sensational manual working roof and the new R56 Mini Cooper S.

Minichamps

Last up but definitely not least is Minichamps with some must have models.
The first two are the wonderfully detailed Brough Superior SS 100 and Honda CBX1000 road motorbikes which are in the signature 1:12 scale.

We then have the Wayne Gardner DTM BMW M3 in the famous jagermeister livery from the 1992 season.
In his four races the former 500cc motorcycle World Champion managed two finishes, a 14th at the Nurburgring and a 16th at Hockenheim.

And finally the hugely anticipated release of the 1:18 scale 2007 Lewis Hamilton Mclaren Mercedes MP4/22. This is the car that brought him within a point of winning the F1 Drivers Championship in his debut year.
With the way Lewis Hamiltons career is headed, this model may indeed be a highly sought after item in the years to come so make sure you're ready at release time for this terrific addition.
