Biante Collectors Club Newsletter - 16th August 2006
New Distributor AnnouncementBiante are extremely proud to announce that we will be adding one of the worlds premier model makers to our range of world class models, CMC Model Cars from Germany.
We met with CMC at this years Nuremberg toy fair and after discussing with them and reviewing their future projects have decided to begin to import and distribute their fantastic models to our stockist network throughout Australia. The attention to detail that CMC engineer into their models is unsurpassed in the industry. Several of CMC's recent releases have in excess of 1000 individual parts in each 1:18 model. The magnificent Maserati 250F grand prix machine tops the parts count list as it is made up of 1,387 individual parts. From hand stitched leather for the seats to individual wire spokes in the classic grand prix racing wheels no detail is overlooked.
CMC work very closely with the major European car manufacturers which has allowed them to produce such legendary machines as W196R Streamliner 'Silver Arrows' of Jaun Manuel Fangio, the mid engined V16 Auto Union Type C, and the recently released Maserati Type 61 Birdcage. Most of these cars have not been produced by other model manufacturers.
CMC don't only concentrate on classic racing cars. Their 1961 Ferrari 250 SWB has been produced in the traditional Ferrari colours of red and yellow and they have also produced a series of 2003 Mercedes SLR McLaren models in 6 different colours. Both of these models have won numerous industry awards.
Upcoming programs from CMC include the 1952 and 1953 world championship winning Ferrari 500 F2, 1957 Maserati 250F in Fangio livery, 1936/37 Auto Union Type C 'Hill Climber' with dual rear wheels, 1931 Mille Miglia winning Mercedes SSKL, and Mercedes W196R of Stirling Moss.

Website Update
A few small changes have been made to the website over the last week. Products listed on the Models Just Arrived and Models Just Added pages of the website now display the thumbnail image for products along with its name. The thumbnail images have also been added to the related products in order to allow our customers easier browseability of our range.

Diecast Downunder Magazine - Edition 12
Advance orders are now being taken for edition 12 of Diecast Downunder magazine. The latest edition will feature an article on the entire Allan Moffat Collection produced by Biante featuring each car produced that makes up this collection. Also featured will be new industry news and announcements surrounding this wonderful hobby of ours.

Next Weeks Releases
Next week Biante will release the 1:18 scale Allan Moffat 1979 #25 Holden LX Torana SS A9X. This is the car that Allan drove in the 1979 AMSCAR series. The model is based on the car as it was at Amaroo Park in NSW. This model is finished with as magnificent detail as the recently released Brock Richards 1979 A9X.
