Collectors Club Newsletter - 12 Aug 2004
VY SS Commodore. Cosmo Mica.
The Cosmo mica VY SS Commodore is now in stock and available to website customers. Initial demand shows that this is going to be a very popular model so don't miss out on this great new model.
1:43 2003 HRT Sandown Winner.
We have been notified by Autoart that they have a few 1:43 models of the Mark Skaife - Todd Kelly HRT VY Sandown winner left over which were over runs from the actual production run.
As they are over run models, they do not have certificates. With all of the e-mails we have been receiving from collectors who missed out on this modelwhen it was released we have decided to offer these over run models to collectors who wish to add this item to their collection who as yet have not had the chance to do so.
The number is extremely low so the models will be sold on a first come first served basis.
These items are due be available on the 24th of this month. Please watch next weeks newsletter to be given a confirmed due date.
'In Transit' Shipments
We currently have several shipments of models on their way to us that will be arriving in the next few weeks.
A shipment from Autoart is on the way and includes some great new models from them such as the 1:12 Lamborghini Murcielago in Metallic Orange, 1:18 Porsche 911 GT3 RS in white with red accents, Wall mount display cases that hold 4 * 1:18 models, 1:43 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII plus many others.
Also due to arrive is a shipment containing 1:43 FPV GT and GT-P models, Victorian Police VX SS Commodores in 1:18 scale, and the Bowe and Wilson BA V8 Supercars in 1:18 scale.

1:18 Diecast Downunder.
Issue 4 of the 1:18 Diecast Downunder magazine is now on advanced order. This is a beautifully produced magazine that contains a huge amount of information surrounding 1:18 Diecast model collecting from all over the world and is an invaluable resource for keen collectors. Orders will be accepted until the end of the month.
Guess The Production Quantities Competition.
While nobody managed to correctly guess the production quantities for the 1:43 scale Holden Racing Team 2004 Bathurst Twin Pack some came very close. The closest guess was 2184 which was sent through by Stewart Gear. Stewart was only 16 off the actual amount which is 2168 which is a pretty good effort. Congratulations Stewart. Please contact us to claim your prize.
2004 Targa Tasmania DVD.
The finishing touches are being put onto the 2004 Targa Tasmania Brock DVD. The DVD is just over 3 hours in running time of raw unedited in car footage showing the masterful driving abilities of Peter Brock and the calm and collected navigating abilities of Anne Gigney. It's not all work with some light hearted moments showing that beneath it all Peter is doing it for the same reason as every other competitor, for sheer enjoyment.
These items are in production at the moment and are expected to be released in the next few weeks for only Aus$12.00 including GST (GST only applies to Australian orders). The DVD has been produced in region 4 format. If you wish to purchase this item please check that this is compatible with your DVD player if you are ordering outside Australia and New Zealand.
Biante Auctions.
The Biante Auction website is currently running along at a sensational success rate. The number of Auctions listed is around 120 the success rate is currently sitting at approximately 25% which is excellent. It is a great place to buy and sell and fill holes in your collection or make room for more.
Finishline Selections Reminder.
Don't forget to have your selections in for this weekends round of Finishline. There are only 6 rounds remaining in the 2004 V8 Supercar Championship so time is running out if you want to be in the running for the major prize. This year has been on eof the most competitive years for a long time with some very surprising results showing how competitive the championship currently is.
