2003 Holden Racing Team Sandown 500 Winner.
We are now able to announce that we will be releasing the Skaife -T.Kelly VY HRT Commodore that took out the 2003 Betta Electrical 500 Sandown event in atrocious conditions. Two of the major features of this model willbe rain tyres as well as the special Mobil 'Supersyn' bonnet layout as carried in the event.
Production numbers will be limited to only 1000 pieces of this car in 1:43 and 1:18 scales so it will definitely be one to chase.
Keep an eye on future newsletters to be kept up to date with the latest news regarding these two models.
Liberty Classic 1:6 Hemi 'Race Engine'.
Currently in transit from Liberty Classics is a new item in their range of 1:6 scale engines and is one for the MOPAR fans.
The Hemi 'Race Engine' is mounted on a display stand and features a reverse face air cleaner, 4-bbl carburettor and the usual top detail and moving parts.
This brings the total number of engines in the range to 5 engines and makes for an impressive sight when displayed together. Please make sure your watchlist is up to date to be notified when this item comes into stock.
AUTOart 1:43 Change Of Packaging.
AUTOart have advised us that future models in 1:43 scale will be produced in a new open ended 'sleeve' style packaging. The cars are in the same display case as previous models and the new style packaging will allow a better view of the model inside without removing it from the box.
This change will also cover all 1:43 Australian cars that AUTOart produce for Biante.
Targa Tasmania 2004.
The 2004 Holden Monaro CV8 that will be campaigned in this years Targa Tasmania by Peter Brock is complete and ready to attack the roads of Tassie once more. It is a major coup for us to actually have the model liveried and in production before the actual car was completed but with a great team working on both sides of Australia as well as in China everyone has got together and made it all happen in a very short period of time. The black and gold livery looks sensational and the models, 1:18th and 1:64th, will be a great addition to the Brock story.
One of our Tasmanian stockists, Birchalls in Launceston, has come on board and will be hosting an in store appearance by Peter prior to the event and we will have a number of 1:18 scale models ofhis car specially flown down from China in order to make it on time. The remaining stock will be available a few weeks later as they will be shipped by sea freight.
Showroom
We have spent most of the morning stocking the showroom in Belmont with Chargers, Group a Brocks, Cobras and stuff like that. Anyone coming over to Barbagallo in June, or at any time for that matter, is more than welcome to drop in and have a look at hundreds of prototypes, samples, real cars etc. Please just email bev@biante.com.au for an appointment. This makes sure we can devote some time to you and show you around.
Barbagallo
We are currently trying to put together an exciting addition to the Historics races here in June. If we can pull it off, it will be fantastic and something different for those who come on the day. A huge field of Historics has nominated for the round and as its our home event, we will pull all stops out to ensure everyone who comes across to our great State has a ball.
