Next Weeks New Arrivals.
Minichamps.
A new shipment of Minichamps models will be available on site on Wednesday and all new arrivals are listed in the 'In transit' section of the site currently. Some of the more important new arrivals are:
Mark Webber 2003 Jaguar R4 and 2002 Minardi PS02 in 1:43 scale.
Jean Alesi Mercedes CLK DTM car in 1:43 scale.
the latest release in Minchamps range of Presidential Parade vehicles. This model is the Lincoln Continental from John F Kennedy's trip to Berlin. The model comes complete with JFK standing in the car with secret service agents riding next to him and on the rear corners of the vehicle. Other models in this range have been extremely popular and this one expected to carry on the trend so grab it while youcan.
Spark Models.
Some classicLemans cars from Spark will also be available next week which are the Cunningham C2R Chryslers from the 1951 24Hr race. These models are produced to Sparks usual high standards and form part of their Bizarre collection. Part of the appeal from the Bizarre range of models is its diversity with everything from 1950's Lemans car, through to Land Speed Record cars and pretty much everything in between. All models are packaged in a high quality display box and will please even the most discerning collectors.
Free Gift For Website Orders.
In the lead up to Christmas a free gift will be included with every order placed through the site from now on (order 23711 onwards) while stocks last. The gift could be any one of a number of other items. This is our way of thanking everyone for helping to make this such a great year and continuing into next year.
Biante Auctions Express Post Competition.
Congratulations to George Koletsios for winning the Express Postage competition on www.bianteauctions.com.au. George was the 50th person to enter a Postage Express listing for their auctions and has won one the special release Autobarn/Mobil Biante minicar kit. this is the first kit that has been produced by Biante minicars and is available exclusively through Autobarn stores as part of a Mobil promotion.
The Express Post option on Biante Auctions eliminates an entire step in the auction process and speeds up the system a huge amount. We have seen auctions go from auction finished to the buyer having the model in their hands in 24hours. When both parties take full advantage of the system the process could not be faster, or safer. Give it a go and see what you think.
Finishline Competition.
The Biante website Finishline competition has finished for another year with a very close finish for the top two places. Keith Wilkie claimed the win on 574 points withDarren Frazer only two points behind andKelvin Pilgrim in third on 556 points. The competition has been close all year with a huge number of people with mathematical chances of taking first place coming into the final round.
First, Second, and Third place getters will be contacted shortly with prize information.
Thanks to everyone that entered into the competition this year. It was a huge amount of fun and we are sure next year will be even better.
CD advanced orders
The Biante 2003 CD Catalogue is now available for advanced orders and is selling fast. This is the 'one stop shop' for information covering every model Biante in 1:18, 1:43, and 1:64 scales along with prototypes, one-off special models, and the process of model making. Details for all promotional brochures and flyers have also been included with each model. The CD's are currently scheduled to arrive on the 15th of December and the advanced orders will be shipped straight away.
Get in quick as stock is limited.
V8 Supercar Rides With Team Brock At Eastern Creek.
The competition for hot laps at Eastern Creek raceway had a massive response with over 200 entries. Unfortunately there were only 3 rides available and they were won by Cameron Moses (Forum ID The_Goldie), Rohan Springate (Forum ID a9x), and Stewart Gear (Forum ID Stewart).
The hot laps were taken on the Monday following the race and, as expected, the drivers put on a show and all three participants had an experience of a life time.
A big thanks to Team Brock for allowing us to offer these rides to our collectors, and to Cameron, Rohan, and Stewart for putting their lives in the hands of Jason and Paul.
Biante Historic Touring Cars.
The final round of the Biante Model Cars Historic Touring Cars Championship was run last weekend and the championship went to Brad Tilley in his Mustang over Paul Stubber in a Chev Camaro. Interest in last weekends racing was even higher than usual due to Peter Brock competing in his LJ Torana GTR XU-1. After some teething problems in the first two races Peter managed to climb from 30th position to 10th and had an absolute ball doing it. Peter will be racing in selected rounds next year along with other special guest drivers from the era. More information will be made available as it comes to hand.
Biante are honoured to be involved with such a great group of guys that go racing for nothing but the thrill of racing and the camaraderie that goes with it, which is the way racing should be. We look forward to a continued involvement with the category and everybody in it.
