Possum Bourne Commemorative Subaru model.
The eagerly anticipated model of Possum Bournes Subaru Impreza WRC will be arriving in the next few weeks. We have now begun to accept advanced orders for this item. As we have worked very closely with the Bourne family and Subaru New Zealand the models will become available in both Australia and New Zealand at the exact same time. Advanced orders will not be accepted from New Zealand customers. NZ collectors are advised to contact either their local Subaru Dealer or Model Car stockist. Next Weeks New Arrivals.
A shipment of models from Minichamps will be arriving next week and will include the first release in Minichamps range of 1:6 scale racing motorbikes in the form of the World Superbike Championship winning Ducati 996R of Troy Bayliss in the special silver livery as raced at the Imola round of the 2001 season.
Along with the Ducati we will also be receiving the 1:43 scale 2001 British Formula 3championship winning car of Takuma Sato (confirmed for the second seat with B.A.R in F1 next year), 1:43 scale Porsche Daytona 30 years set, 1:18scale 2003 McLaren MP4/17D of both Raikkonen and Coulthard and a limited number of 1991 Ayrton Senna McLaren MP4/6 models in 1:18 scale.
Several other models will also become available so make sure your watchlist is up to date to be notified about these models
New Model Announcements.
Minichamps have announced that they will be producing some new colours of the very popular Triumph Bonneville and Norton Commando classic motorcycles. The Triumph will be produced in blue/grey colours and Norton will be produced in red. Both models are supplied in a beautiful display box with the history of the bike shown inside the lid. The item numbers for these models are 122 132001 (Norton Commando) and 122 133001 (Triumph Bonneville).
1:18 BA XR8 Road Car Prototypes
The latest sample of the BA XR8 road cars in 1:18 scale have arrived and pictures are available in the showroom section of the Biante website. A whole host of features have been added to these models and they would have to sit amongst the best models we have produced so far.
Some new features are:
Soft feel seats.
Release and latching bonnet mechanism.
Gas struts on the bonnet hinges.
Working suspension.
Rotating drive shaft.
Tilt and slide adjustable front seats.

As more and more 1:43 scale models are released many keen collectors have been taking advantage of the free 1:43 display cabinet offer by returning the coupons that are attached to the bottom of the certificates of these models. Some collectors have even collected enough for two free cabinets. The cabinets alone are valued at $80.00 so it is a really great offer and an excellent way to display your collection.
Finishline selections.
Selections close tomorrow at 5pm Perth time for this weekends round of Finishline. The tight confines of the Gold Coast street circuit usually help to create a lot of carnage and with the New Zealand round coming up soon will the drivers be ready to risk their cars with a forceful passing manoeuvre? Only time will tell.
