Jim Beam Racing : model cars by Biante

Biante Model Cars is proud to announce our return to the V8 Supercar replica model market. As part of this initiative, we are pleased to be joining forces once again with one of the iconic teams in V8 Supercar – Dick Johnson's "Jim Beam Racing".

Biante and Dick Johnson have enjoyed a long-term partnership, with Biante continuing to produce replica diecast models of Johnson’s iconic Ford Falcons from the '70s and '80s in our “The Dick Johnson Collection”. As part of this Collection, Biante is currently finalising production of Dick Johnson’s first ever race car, the #38 Holden FJ Special sedan, as raced at Lakeside Raceway, Queensland in late 1964.

Separate to our existing arrangement, this new announcement now brings Biante in touch with the current crop of Dick Johnson Racing / Jim Beam Racing Falcons, with an exclusive, multi-year contract to produce the Jim Beam Racing team cars in all three popular Biante scales.

Biante CEO Chris Roche is delighted to be able to return to the V8 Supercar replica market, stating;

“We are very excited to be manufacturing V8 Supercars again, and to be able to start with a team and a man that we have had a long association with is fantastic.”

“Biante and DJR have had a long history, so to be able to once again produce the modern cars alongside the historically significant cars is great for our brand and our collectors.”

The initial Biante production run will include the two current 2008 championship BF Falcons of Steve Johnson and Will Davison in 1:18, 1:43 and 1:64 scales. Also, the Jim Beam & Zero Sugar Cola car that Steve Johnson and Will Davison raced to third place at the 2007 Bathurst event is scheduled to be made in 1:18 scale.

Keep an eye out for more news on the Jim Beam Racing model cars in due course.
