Minichamps announce 2007 LeMans 24hr models

Last weekend the legendary and spectacular 24 hour race at Le Mans took place, where Biela/ Pirro/ Werner defended their title. Despite some chaotic weather conditions and two breakdowns, Audi won the diesel competition against Peugeot at the 75th edition of the 24 hour race at Le Mans and therewith repeated its previous year’s victory. The defending champions, namely Frank Biela (Germany), Emanuele Pirro (Italy) and Marco Werner (Germany) won the long distance classic near the river Sarthe for the second time in a row in the R10 TDI and this in front of a record crowd of 260.000 spectators. The automobile manufacturer, based in Ingolstadt, improved its stately record to four consecutive wins and in total seven victories in the last eight years. Biela, having won five times, is by far the most successful German and the third most successful race car driver in the history of Le Mans. Werner, winning for the third time in a row, has now drawn equal with touring car king Klaus Ludwig, who also won three times at Le Mans
