Club Membership

1What are the benefits of club membership? Top

The major benefit is that you have a common 'meeting' place to be able to follow your hobby trends and communicate with other collectors.

We have provided what we think is a useful, user friendly and informative site, that you as a member, can gain more knowledge and maybe make some new friends who have similar interests in this hobby of ours.

Plus of course you can accumulate Biante Bonus Points for all your on-line purchases and then use these points on the website for future model purchases.

Members who have accumulated Bonus Points, will now have a new section "Members Only" automatically open up on entering the site.

In this area you can spend Bonus Points directly on selected items and also maybe find an elusive model at a special Members cost in points.

2How do I register for membership? Top

In order to join:

Click on Collectors Club link or the Blue icon on the left hand side of the page.

Read the Collectors Club Terms and Conditions and click "I Agree" if you wish to proceed.

Complete all the required fields correctly. Adding your address information will save you from needing to re-enter your address each time you place an order through our website.

Click the Sign Up button at the bottom on the page.

You will be sent an e-mail asking you to confirm your new account. Either click the link provided in the e-mail or manually enter the activation codes through the website as instructed.

Once this step is completed you will receive another e-mail confirming your registration, and with your login details.

Everytime you make a purchase on the site, you will get Biante Bonus Points (providing you first login) that will accrue over time, enabling you to purchase models, specials etc. from the site. You will see the total of bonus points on your future orders.

If you select YES for the Newsletter box, you will also get weekly updates of new products and advance notice of new arrivals.

You do not have to fill any of this out again ! However, if you change any of your relevant personal details down the track, you should come back and update your details via the "Update my Details" found under the Members Tools section on the left hand side of the page.

3Do I get cheaper models by being in the club? Top

No... but now when you purchase models from us as a member, you will notice that you earn "Biante Bonus Points" which you will be awarded on a point per dollar spent basis and which can be used to purchase ANY MODEL ON THE WEBSITE, as well as special release items only available to members.

When you have accumulated points, a special Members Only bar will open up on the front page, purely for cashing points on special items. You can however still go into the general public website arena and chose to buy with points on any item listed.

4Are catalogues free to club members? Top

No ... unfortunately these days, all of the diecast manufacturers charge us for catalogues. The Minichamps catalogues for example are airfreighted from Germany and cost us something in the order of $11.00 each landed at our warehouse.

You can buy the catalogues from the Biante website if you want a hard copy reference, however keep in mind that most manufacturers now have efficient independent websites that showcase their product - you can check these out at our LINKS page.

5What is the Watchlist? Top

The Watchlist is not a reservation system, it is only serves to notify you of the change of status of an item in which you have registered an interest.

If you have an item on Watchlist and you receive the e-mail notification that the item has arrived you still need to visit the Biante website and place your order.

If the item has 'Sold Out' or 'Temporarily Out of Stock' indicators showing at the time you visit the website to purchase, it means that the stock that was listed as 'In Stock' or 'Limited Stock' has now been sold and the model is now not available to purchase. History has shown that you must react quickly to Watchlist e-mails, especially for perceived popular items.

In a situation where you have responded too late to the e-mail advice, there may or may not be further stock left to sell at the Biante website. Whilst this is no doubt annoying to Collectors Club members, we feel our system gives fair opportunity to all of our customers.

If the website cannot supply the item you seek, we suggest you contact a recognised Biante Stockist who may just have what you're after. You can find a list of all our registered Biante stockists at our website ... please visit this link ... http://www.biante.com.au/distributors.htm

6Is it possible as a Club member to get prior news of model releases? Top

Yes it is.

When you sign up for Club Membership, if you click the YES box on the sign-up page regarding Newsletters, you will automatically receive the weekly e-mail Biante Newsletter each Wednesday. This will ensure that you are periodically updated as to what is happening in the land of Biante Model Cars.

If you change your e-mail address (or any of your personal details for that matter), go into the Club page and update your details immediately, or we will not be able to reach you.

7As a member, can I pre-order models? Top

Generally speaking, the answer is no.

Best thing is put your name down for the "Biante Newsletter" by selecting 'Yes' when you sign up for Collectors Club and we will keep you up to date with news and all releases before they happen.

You will then, from time to time, be able to go to the "Advance Order" section and pre-order the few items that are listed. Most Advance Order items will have a likely release date advised, so that you can ensure your credit card will be valid for purchases at the time of product release.

Biante Bonus Points awarded on Advance Orders will not be credited to your points account until we ship the item. Your credit card will also NOT be debited until we ship the goods.

8Can multiple members of the same family all be Club Members. Top

Of course. The more the merrier.

Best way to do this is to all use a different email address and all register seperately as Members. That way when you play Finishline for example, each family member can have a go.

9Do I have any obligations if I join the Collector Club? Top

Financially... no, as everything is free, except the merchandise itself !

The onus is on members themselves to keep their details - like email address, home address, and delivery address - up to date at all times. This can be done on the CC page under "Change your details". PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL US, rather just follow the above instructions. If we receive bounced newsletters because a member has changed e-mail address and not amended it, we will have no alternative but to disenable the membership.

Finally, we do ask that all contributions in the Forums - or anywhere that is relayed to other members - is of a suitable language so as not to offend anyone. Keep in mind that we have a wide range of membership, from primary school age to seniors in retirement, so anyone who persists in using words/language that could offend others will be electronically barred from participating in Forums discussions.

10How do I accumulate Biante Bonus Points? Top

When you make an on-line order through the website, please log into the Collectors Club section first, then place your order using your credit card through our secure order section.

You will receive ONE bonus point for each ONE dollar spent on actual product, EXCLUDING postage/freight charges.

Points can ONLY be earned or redeemed by submitting the order by the website ordering system. You cannot send a money order in the mail or fax the form with your card details to redeem points or to accumulate them.

Remember, if you are not logged in as a member when placing an order you will not earn bonus points for that order when your order is shipped.

11What is the redemption value of my Biante Bonus Points? Top
Each point is worth 5 cents and may be redeemed on any item for sale on our website.

Postage/freight is not redeemable for points. Much like if you have a redemption flight with frequent flyer points, your travel to the airport is still at your own expense.
12How do I redeem my Bonus Points? Top

When you make your on-line order as a club member through the site, you place a desired item that is 'in stock' into your shopping cart and if you have sufficient points for this purchase, your available points will show up and you can opt to use your points for the purchase or pay by credit card.

Please note that you cannot combine a points purchase with a 'dollar' purchase on the same order. Also, a points order will still require your credit card details for the purpose of charging shipping costs.

There is now a new section on the Biante website that is a 'Members Only' page. If you have accumulated Biante Bonus Points, this page will be available to you. On this page will be "points only" purchases, plus some bargains to maybe help fill in some holes in your collection from older, hard to find models.

A REMINDER :

Points can ONLY be earned or redeemed by submitting the order by the website ordering system. You cannot send a money order in the mail or fax the form with your card details to redeem points or to accumulate them.

13What if my weekly e-Newsletters are no longer received? Top

There could be a number of reasons. Perhaps :-

1. Your inbox is over quota and needs to be emptied.

2. You have changed email address and not amended your membership details at the club section 'change my details'

3. You may have forgotten to pay your service provider.

If we receive your Newsletter back as returned e-mail over a consecutive period, we may decide to disable your membership.

14What if my on-line membership will not open when I type in my id and password? Top

Please use the lost password link to retrieve your password.  A page will load asking for your email address.  Once submitted an email will be sent to you with your username and password.

If you are still having troubles please send an email through the contact us page of the website using the Collectors Club category.  Provide a full description of your problem and Biante will then help to resolve your issues.

15How do I change my membership details? Top

If you change your email address or mailing address, you need to change these on the Update my details page found under the heading Member Tools.

This page allows you update your contact information along with your delivery information.

DO NOT rejoin with your new details and leave your old membership unaltered - you will lose all the points accumulated. Points are not transferrable between memberships.

16How do I change my e-mail address? Top

Changing your e-mail address is simple. Please follow these steps :-

1. Log-in to your Collectors Club account.

2. Under the heading Members Tools is an option "Update My Details" - click this link.
